Behind the Scenes 'Oprah's Aussie Adventure'

An international spectacular...

Knowing full well that the event was sure to attract helicopter attention, a roof skin covering the stage in it's entirety sat at the top of Harpo's wish list. With public safety and a flawless presentation a priority, Scaffad & ESG worked together to engineer and fabricate a one-of-a-kind super-sized roof skin, drawing on a few 'tricks of the trade' used on our Grand format building wraps.

With the set design constantly evolving, as more and more theatrics were introduced to the event, Scaffad set about producing a basic shell for each signage component - that could then be adapted as final sizes and systems were locked in. From freestanding branded flags, press conference backdrops, to a complete stage wrap, the Scaffad team worked tirelessly to ensure each and every component was completed to perfection and on time.

Tricks of the Trade

Having worked extensively with large format graphics - experiencing many first hand do's and don'ts when creating outdoor visual displays - the Scaffad creative team were quick to recognise a few potential design issues, working through the night to adapt each of the original designs - presenting the Harpo team with a complete solution to all concerns, as and when the problems were introduced.

The end result saw various new vibrant tones and highlights introduced to the design, as well as all text and imagery retraced and retouched - to basically ensure the quality and resolution remained flawless when blown to such huge proportions.
