Affordable Polished Concrete-Like Surface from UBIQ

When the architect called for a polished concrete floor to the Leichhardt showroom for ILVE Appliances INEX>FLOOR was selected as an affordable alternative. Laid smooth side up as a direct stick to the existing concrete the 2700 x 600 INEX>FLOOR delivered a quality polished concrete appearance. A light grid sanding once laid, followed by UBIQ's recommended 3 coat water based epoxy sealing and polyurethane coating system resulted in this feature floor section in the centre of ILVE's showroom.

"Once the qualities of INEX>FLOOR were understood, it became a natural choice for this project' says the builder Leo Felton of Constellation Carpentry. "It's astonishing that this material can be used as both a substrate for bathrooms and decks and as a quality finished surface like at ILVE. It was so easy to work with; I even used a hand saw to trim it around the columns."

The sales team at ILVE are delighted to have supported an innovative building material from UBIQ. "We love the floor - we're even getting as many enquiries from our customers about it as we are our own great range of appliances," says Lesleyann at the showroom.
