Interface modular carpet launches new education range backed by the industry's only 20-year education warranty!

Interface's new education range
Interface's i2 ranges (Entropy Basalt shown here) are designed to provide mergeable dye lots so that replacement modules blend even more effectively and educational facilities do not need to carry attic stock.

Interface has launched a new series of competitively priced modular carpets specifically aimed at the education market. As a result of the superior engineering of Interface modular carpet, the organisation is also offering the industry's only 20-year education warranty.#

"The education market is increasingly adopting modular carpet for the outstanding facility management benefits it provides in being able to quickly and easily replace modules that are damaged, even by regular maintenance staff," said Matt Robinson, Education Business Development Manager for Interface. "Being modular, it is also easier to store attic stock."

Modular also provides quicker and easier installation wastage, reducing costs. Traditional broadloom creates an average of 13% wastage, compared to around 3% for modular.

"While creating a quieter and warmer environment, the ability to cost-effectively incorporate design features by combining patterns and colours, is enabling education facilities to create more engaging learning environments," said Mr Robinson.

The new Interface education ranges feature traditional carpet styling right through to some of Interface's innovative i2T™products.

"The i2 concept featuring a diversity within the modules and unique colour interplay, increases the facility management benefits - replacement modules blend even more effectively with existing flooring with a further reduction in labour and wastage costs due to the random installation method," said Mr Robinson. "i2 also means educational facilities do not need to carry attic stock as different manufacturing runs and dye lots will blend with each other."

Like all Interface modular carpet, products within the education range feature hard-wearing solution dyed 6,6 nylon fibres and permanent soiling repellents ensuring the carpet looks good for longer.

Interface's own unique Intersept® permanent antimicrobial is also incorporated, inhibiting microbial growth and protecting indoor air quality - particularly important in educational environments.

"The engineered backing structure is guaranteed to prevent the ravelling, fraying, bubbling and delamination which are common problems for traditional style broadloom in education environments," said Mr Robinson.
