DalNaturel rubber flooring by Dalsouple features at Gumboots clothing store, Melbourne

Question - What do gumboots and Dalsouple have in common?
Answer - Natural rubber.

Gumboots children's clothing have just opened a new store in Westfield's Southland shopping centre in Melbourne. DalNaturel - Dalsouple's 90% natural, sustainable smooth rubber flooring was specified by designer Melanie Beynon at Chris Connell Design and installed by Dinnage Group. Gumboots have changed their colour scheme and shop layout so this is the first of a national rollout with Bondi Junction, Sydney opening in October 2007. The neutral grey colour flooring (Gris Tourterelle) doesn't detract from the other bright features in the store or the range of colourful clothes.

The DalNaturel smooth natural rubber tiles come in either 340mm x 340mm tiles or 1760mm x 680mm plaques and must be laid in a brick bonding pattern as rubber tiles tend to rise up against each other if laid corner to corner. Textures come in 680mm x 680mm. Bostik Ultraset, a one-part epoxy is used as the adhesive, has a 10 year guarantee and is environmentally friendly to use. The sealer/polish used is Johnson Diversey's 'Vectra' with 4 thin coats used in this case. The more coats, the higher the gloss. In this way, the whole floor is impervious to liquid and it's hard to see any joins. The floor will be easy to maintain with only needing damp mopping and light buffing once a month.

Dalsouple rubber flooring comes in 80 standard colour's (or any pantone colour) and over 30 textures. It is extremely durable, resilient, anti-slip, anti-static, environmentally friendly, acoustically quiet and comes with a 10 year guarantee.
