When the home pictured here was renovated, it was very important that certain unique and individual characteristics were maintained. The leadlight windows were a major feature of the home and the client wanted them to be maintained in the renovation and further introduced as a theme throughout the house. Moondani was asked to incorporate this design and provide options for a bathroom screen and internal doors leading from the family area to the formal room.

Textured (slumped) glass provides a sense of privacy and reduces the look of soap scum and watermarks. Moondani recommended this type of glass in the bathroom and customised the texture by using the leadlight design from the windows and introducing it to the glass partition subsequently used as the shower and privacy screen in the bathroom. This unique renovation meant the artistic feature of the home was maintained with a practical solution.

The open design of the main living area meant the same textured glass design was not necessarily the best option for the refurbishment of the old internal doors. The leadlight feature was removed from the old doors and used elsewhere, meaning a replacement glass was required which would continue the leadlight feature. Moondani recommended a combination of the old glass and new sandblasted glass, with the leadlight design continued on the centre panels.
