Grey Water Connections from Australian Landscape Constructions

The red handled ball valve is where any future grey water reuse device could be installed. When closed the grey water continues on into the sewer.

CONNECT

We connect to your laundry tub, shower or bath drains with a diverter. Laundry, shower and bath drains must be accessible either outside or under house or in an accessible cavity or if you're building or renovating we can install a diverter while you build.

Building a New Dwellling...

Recycled Water Irrigation recommends that all new houses need to have accessible grey water pipe outlets or simple diverters installed.

The technology in grey water reuse, treatment and diversion is being developed all the time by Recycled Water Irrigation and others. Once these pipes get locked up in a concrete slab and/or mixed with black water, they are unable to be utilised for the life of the house. That's 40 years plus. That's potentially 5 million litres of grey water that could be reused for irrigation, or retreated for car washing, laundry and toilet cistern.

There are some cheap simple diversion devices on the market. But even a DWV tee junction with a ball valve is all that is needed. The example pictured below can be installed by Recycled Water Irrigation outside or under a new dwelling for less than a $100.00.
