Safe Grip Anti Slip Strips from Global Safe Technologies

SAFE GRIP ANTI SLIP STRIPS FEATURE AT NZ POST

NZ POST became another in a long list of satisfied customers utilizing Safe Grip - GLOBAL SAFE'S unique non slip safety surface product.

Like many companies in NZ and overseas, NZ Post has taken advantage of Global Safe's Safety non slip surface treatment.

The tiles at the front entrance of their Waikato Mail Centre in Hamilton whilst attractive, had become slippery over time. Whilst NZ Post had temporarily utilized mats to provide safe walking surfaces in the wet, they were looking for a more permanent solution to the problem that would add to their already attractive entrance way. Taking a proactive approach to the situation they looked into a number of possible options to address the problem, ensuring that the solution met with the relevant NZ Building Standards requirement for Access Routes and also be compliant with the AS/NZ 4586:2004 Slip Resistance standard.

Global Safe Technologies NZ, after visiting the NZ Post's Waikato Mail Centre Site, were able to provide NZ Post, with a number of possible safety solutions that fitted within the building code and could be undertaken in a variety of design options.

Global Safe Technologies NZ were also able to provide NZ Post with superimposed images of what the treatment would look like after completion, enabling NZ Post to make their final decision based on the best treatment that not only met the NZ Building Standards but also fitted with the overall aesthetic look of their designer building. Global Safe Technologies NZ was awarded the work which was carried out with little disruption and within the given timeframe.

NZ Post's Waikato Mail Centre now has an attractive designated walkway to the entrance of their building that meets both the Access Routes requirements under the relevant NZ Building Standards as well as the AS/NZ 4586:2004 Slip Resistance standard and their particular décor, creating a safe walking surface regardless of the weather conditions.
