Rubber Flooring Sustainability and Longevity from Dalsouple

Dalsouple natural rubber flooring has nearly 1/2 million people walk over it at MONA Museum Hobart

400m2 of Dalsouple rubber flooring was specified by Fender Katsilidis Architects for the new $75 million MONA museum in Hobart. The black (Noir) smooth rubber tiles are in the entrance, on the entrance to the glass elevator, on the "seemingly endless flight of stairs" around the elevator, in the large cargo lift, in the guest quarters and in a special large gallery room holding the famous Wim Delvoye's Cloaca Professional, (pooh machine).

After nearly 2 years and nearly 1/2 million people visiting MONA, the managers are very happy with how the floor has held up and it shows no signs of wear and tear. So it could be said that Dalsouple natural rubber flooring is proving it's sustainability, and longevity attributes more than any other instalallation in Australia.

Dalsouple has a 10 year guarantee and has been installed in many airports, train stations, universities, schools, museums around the world. Studies have shown that although rubber flooring is expensive in the first place, after 15 years it works out cheaper, compared to carpet, vinyl or lino. Maintenance is easy with regular vacuuming, mopping and spray buffing.
