Solid Rubber Weather Strip from DeckMaster

Deck Master Weather Strip is required when installing 19mm Grooved Decking Boards that are being fastened with the TC-G150 Secret Fix Stainless Steel Clip.

The Weather Strip features a raised section that enables the groove in the 19mm decking board to be centered and engage the TCG150 clip at the correct height.

Deck Master Weather Strip povides moisture protection to the joists greatly improving durability. Furthermore the bottom of the deck board is kept off the joist eliminating a moisture trap and enabling increased air flow which will create a more even moisture content in the deck board. Stabilizing the miosture content in your deck board by good sub deck ventilation, adequate ground drainage and quality timber preservatives will all contribute to a more stable and longer lasting deck.

The use of the TC-G secret fix deck fastening system offers a fixing solution where no fasteners need to penetrate the deck board. This will prevent premature deterioration of your decking product.

Traditional fixing methods allow moisture to track down the fastener. Over time the deck board around the fastener is forced to endure added moisture penetration which causes the deck board to deteriorate. Fasteners will also effect joists in the same fashion so to ensure your sub frame will last as long as your deck use the rubber Weather Strip which will naturally seal around the fastener preventing moisture penetration into the joist.

In addition the Deck Master Weather Strip being a solid rubber product will absorb sound vibrations and create a quieter deck to walk on.

Allow for Weather Strip to cover all of your joists. The total lineal metres of joists equal the total lineal metres of Weather Strip you will need.

450mm Joist Centres:
Approximately 2.4 Lineal Metres of Weather Strip per Square metre.

600mm Joist Centres:
Approximately 1.75 Lineal Metres of Weather Strip per Square metre.
