Permasteelisa designed a new façade system to surpass the constructive limitations of traditional curtain walls


Permasteelisa designed, manufactured and installed 83,000m² of glazed curtain wall and windows, the glazed atrium, the podium façades, the aluminium paneling and the aluminium cladding to the buttress framework.

ANZ Bank World Headquarters - Melbourne (Australia)
The towers external cladding is made of 28,000m² of curtain wall with double structural glass in the vision sections and with rose and brown granite in the spandrel sections.

Crown Casino - Melbourne (Australia)

Governor Philip Tower - Sydney (Australia)
The curtain wall system, produced and supplied by Permasteelisa, features horizontal cladding with double glass panels in the vision areas and granite panels in the spandrel areas. Permasteelisa assembled 28,000m² of curtain wall capable of resisting wind pressures up to 3,100 pascals (316 kg/m²)

Sydney Opera House - Sydney (Australia)
70,000 sq/ft of custom made Curtain Wall. The first building in the world to use structural silicone and suspended laminated vertical glass on a large scale.

The Sydney Opera House, with its high tech innovation and futuristic design, represented an architectural challenge which was successfully overcome by our group. It is in this spirit that we have adopted the shape of the Sydney Opera House not only as the company's logo, but to symbolize an architecture which is both art and memory of our times.

Suntec City - (Singapore)
Approx. 200,000 m² of architectural envelope granite, metal and glass panels, skylights and shopfronts.

Permasteelisa Pacific has manufactured and installed approximately 200,000m² of curtain wall to envelope the Convention Center, the annexed 18-story building, and two 45-story high towers, a portion of the podium and the terrace area including the fountain.

Guggenheim Museum - Bilbao (Spain)
36,000 m² of pure titanium cladding.

Permasteelisa has mastered the use of advanced computer technologies to tailor the building envelope in a three dimensional free form. The skin is made of titanium. Its characteristics of high strength and elasticity provide a particularly aesthetic and desired effect of dynamic wrinkling of the building envelope under the action of wind.
