Grip Guard non-slip floor treatment

Grip Guard Non-Slip Floor Treatment is uniquely different from conventional anti-slip treatments and has been specifically designed to eliminate slippery floor surfaces without changing the appearance of the floor surface - especially on wet floors.

A large majority of non-slip floor applications available in the market are coatings. Most of these coatings contain some sort of abrasive material, such as sand, to provide the anti-slip properties required to make floor surfaces slip resistant. Unfortunately, the coatings themselves do not have any anti-slip qualities - they rely on the abrasive materials that are either mixed into the coating or broadcast on top of the coating while it is wet.

Unfortunately these anti-slip additives are worn down over time during pedestrian use and the floor surface is left dangerously slippery because the abrasive additive that was providing the non-slip properties to the floor is not longer effective. This is particularly dangerous when the anti-slip coating is worn only in certain areas such as high traffic corridors.

Another type of non-slip floor treatment is acid etching. This type of treatment has inherent disadvantages. Most importantly, etches can damage floors and change their appearance. In addition, floor etches provide an anti-slip surface by 'roughing up' the surface of the topmost surface of the floor and, over time, the treatment become ineffective.

Grip Guard non-slip treatment is unique in that it works its way into the floor and modifies the pore structure of the floor surface from within providing a long-term anti-slip floor safety solution. In fact, in domestic applications, it is unlikely that the treatment will have to be repeated. And, unlike other anti slip treatments, Grip Guard non-slip treatment does not change the appearance of the floor surface.

Grip Guard non-slip treatment is suitable for use on ceramic tiles, porcelain tiles, marble, granite, terrazzo, pebblecrete, sandstone, concrete (polished and unpolished), slate, exposed aggregate and other stone based surfaces.

Grip Guard has been used extensively in the domestic and commercial applications as well as in public areas in areas such as swimming pool surrounds (even on steps that are underwater!), food preparation areas, footpaths, driveways, factories, showrooms, bathrooms, foyers, verandahs... the list is endless.

Grip Guard operators are available throughout Australia and New Zealand including Sydney, Perth, Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide, Launceston, Auckland as well as regional areas.
