When a permeable pavement system, such as one of Adbri Masonry's Ecopave® range, is installed a series of drainage holes are formed in the pavement surface. These drainage holes are filled with a small aggregate allowing water to pass through the surface layers, minimising stormwater runoff, downstream flooding, pollution problems, as well as reducing moisture evaporation from base courses.
