Slate Veneer is a Pure Natural Product. Every Sheet is different in characteristics of texture, color and looks. Slate is a fine-grained, homogeneous, metamorphic rock derived from original shale-type sedimentary rock composed of clay or volcanic ash through low grade regional metamorphism. The result is a foliated rock in which the foliation may not correspond to the original sedimentary layering. A complex manufacturing process has now enabled the splitting of mm thin layers from such slate rocks. A special polyester resin with glass fibers bond these thin stone layers together.

Slate Veneer has been tested as a covering veneer in many different environments, proving to be a superb material when a real stone finish is desired, but heavy solid stone may not be practical. Slate Veneer is not recommended for commercial flooring or countertops or you may use in countertops by putting glass, acrylic or such other transparent materials on it.
