Sandstone Panels at Rockpool Apartments Fixed with StoneClip

The above photo is of the Rockpool apartments project that was just recently completed at 12 McDonald st, Cronulla in Sydney's eastern suburbs.

The project was built by Mr Michael Cripps of Cripps & Cripps real estate, using MR Dave Pickup as the builder and Mr Steve Rossini of Rossini Stone (0413 180 248) as the Stone Mason to do the installation work of the Capricorn Sandstone on the tower/lift well of the building.

The stone panels are 600mm x 300mm x 40 SAWN FACE and are all secured in place with 2 x 28mm set size Stoneclips/panel, secured to the substrate using 1 x 6.5mm drive pin in each Stoneclip base.

This installation was more involved than what it would have been using the 6mm adjustable Stoneclip, as each kerf in the panels had to be cut to suit the alignment of the wall to end up with a plumb finish (which was achieved). The finished height is around 15 mts.
