DAMPING MATERIALS |
Soundpaint is ideally suitable for applying in 1mm thick coats to achieve the required thickness, requiring only 15 minutes drying time between applications. Soundpaint can be applied to areas such as car, truck and bus underbodies, boat hulls, enclosure panels, metal deck roofs, heavy earthmoving equipment and timber or metal floors.
Application Instructions Areas to be covered must be thoroughly cleaned and dried before applying Soundpaint Manual Applicators Hand mix the Soundpaint to ensure consistency. Smear the compound onto the surface with a putty knife or similar tool. Working from the centre apply thin coats of Soundpaint, multiple coats may be required to obtain the right thickness. For best results apply a number of thin layers, allowing to dry between coats. Spray Applicators When spraying Soundpaint, the compound must be stirred vigorously with a mechanical mixer to keep the paint thin.
Always keep the nozzle 250mm to 400mm from the surface when spraying the compound. |
