Foamular Metric is a polystyrene foam extruded into rigid boards by
Owens Corning's Proprietary technology known as Hydrovact process, which develops
continuous skin surfaces and uniform closed-cell cores. The cells have interconnecting
walls of consistent thickness with no voids. This uniform structure gives Foamular
Metric high insulating values, superior moisture resistance and high compressive strength.
Foamular Metric XPS Foam Insulation is available for wide-ranging applications including
cold storage applications, PRMA (protected roof membrane assemblies), exterior wall of
buildings and civil construction applications. When applied to cold storage buildings,
Foamular Metric maintains low thermal conductivity in the presence of high water vapor
driving forces, and even after prolonged exposure to moisture and freezing conditions.
