Watersave Australia - Uridan Water-free Urinal
A water-free, odourless urinal for commercial and residential applications. As a waterless system, the Uridan Urinal reduces urban water, and water storage, demand. Typically a Uridan water-free urinal will save 60-80,000 litres of water annually. Cleaning also requires less water than a conventional flushing system. The odour-trapping system avoids the need for room deodorisers.

Fricker Ceiling Systems - Mineral Fibre Ceiling Tile (GECA Certified)
A range of low VOC mineral fibre ceiling boards containing 85% recycled content, suitable for commercial buildings, community, health and educational facilities. Mineral Fibre tiles are naturally insulating and therefore increase building energy efficiency and are naturally chemically inert.

Desert Eco Systems - Desert Cube Waterless Urinal System
Waterless and odour free urinal cubes and washroom cleaner designed for commerical use, 100% biodegradable. Contains naturally occurring microbes to turn your existing trough or bowl facilities into a touch-free waterless urinal. Desert Cubes are placed in the base of the urinal and the water supply is turned off. Beneficial microbes are released as the cubes slowly dissolve over several weeks.

Future Materials: SYNTHETIC GECKO
Scientists at US-based BAE Systems have created an artificial surface that grips incredibly tightly without glue or pressure. A sheet of this material just over 1 square metre could be used to suspend the weight of an average family car. Called Synthetic Gecko, the new adhesive is inspired by the gecko lizard, whose ability to scurry up vertical walls and windows has intrigued people for centuries.

New Market Report on Green Building in Australia
BCI Australia and GBCA have jointly conceived and produced a 'Market Report on Green Building in Australia'. This is the first report to take an objective and reliable account of the significance and the impact of green building in Australia, and shows that building material suppliers face a significant window of opportunity if they embrace the emerging green building trend. Specifiers and developers are actively looking for market leaders in green products, and they are failing to identify any.
