MakMax Australia announces new Managing Director Bernie Neylan


After four years with MakMax Australia Managing Director Gary Turner has moved on. As a devoted participant in continued self development, Gary will be pursuing personal business opportunities outside of the tensile membrane industry. We all wish him well in his future endeavors and know he will be missed.

In his place we are pleased to announce Bernie Neylan as Managing Director. Bernie has been with MakMax for four years as Financial Controller and more recently as Commercial Manager. With a background in finance, Bernie previously acted as CFO at both Shaftston College and Darling Downs Foods. Bernie holds a Bachelor of Business, and MBA and is also a CPA.

The future for MakMax looks bright with buoyant sales throughout the economic crisis. A general upturn in sales has been felt across the business in recent months in addition to a number of stadium projects being bid on worldwide. Activity in India remains strong with a number major project being installed recent months. With completion of Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth South Africa being a poignant part of 2009 and major projects in India including Jawaharlal Nehru and Ranchi Stadiums both scheduled for completion early in 2010, Bernie and the MakMax team is looking forward to the busy year ahead.
