Inside Insulated Concrete Sandwich Thermomass Panels

What is inside a THERMOMASS panel?

THERMOMASS insulated concrete sandwich panels are comprised of three layers:

  1. an outer layer of concrete,
  2. a layer of XPS (extruded polystyrene) insulation, and
  3. an internal layer of concrete.

All three layers of the insulated concrete panel are held together using our patented fibre composite connectors which are non-corrosive and possess low thermal conductivity eliminating "thermal bridging" and making them vastly superior to steel rods used in other sandwich wall panels.

THERMOMASS insulated precast concrete sandwich panels are similar in appearance to solid precast concrete panels but the THERMOMASS panel, with the combination of XPS and fibre composite connectors as the insulation layer, protects the interior of the building from the outside temperature fluctuation and therefore assists in minimising fluctuation of the internal temperature, enabling long-term reduction in running costs associated with cooling and heating.

The thermal insulating properties of a THERMOMASS insulated sandwich concrete panel make them ideal for all building applications. THERMOMASS insulated concrete panels require minimal maintenance and allow for fast erection with completion of the internal and external wall in one process and eliminating the need for lining of the internal walls.

THERMOMASS insulated concrete sandwich panels offer many benefits including energy efficiency, durability, versatility, strength and security and THERMOMASS is the only fully fire tested concrete sandwich panel insulation system available.
