Bruce Highway Drainage Systems from EJ EJ has released a new range of frangible "bird cage/domed" grates to meet the new QTMR (Queensland Transport & Main Roads) drainage designs. "The new frangible domed grates are designed to collapse if they are unfortunately hit in the event of a road accident," said Marty De-Wit, EJ Queensland Sales Executive. Domed grates are often specified on highways so they can drain the stormwater away; without any obstruction. EJ supplied 40 of the new frangible domed grates and Type J 'high efficiency' grates to Abi Group on a new Bruce Highway upgrade. "These product were made in Queensland and we now hold stocks in our Brisbane warehouse for client' needs," said Marty. EJ domed grates are available in the standard 900x600mm size and are hot dipped galvanised or powder coated to client specifications.
