This cold-rolled steel is developed specifically for harsh Australian weather conditions. It has increased resistance to corrosion and will usually take a couple of months (around 4) for it to develop an even coat of rust. When you first receive the BlueScope® REDCOR® steel, don't be surprised if it has a light grey colour. This is due to a thin film of oil to make sure the rusting process doesn't start while it is still on the shelf.
