Are you looking for a conservatory awning for a waterfront property? Blinds by Peter Meyer is offering the Weinor Sottezza II Conservatory Awning, which was used at a Tennyson Point residence. This shading solution provides maximised views of the surroundings while also offering privacy at night.

The Tennyson Point property is a stunning 3-level home that boasts five bedrooms, an 8-car garage, a jetty, a pool boathouse, and lift access. The conservatory of the house featured a slanted glass roof that required flexible shading that will not detract from the waterfront view.

The solution is the installation of Weinor's Sottezza II Conservatory Awning with motorised operation. This allowed the clients to control the amount of daylight coming into the space. To stay true to the property's design, colour-matched linear fabric was used for the awning.

There were a number of challenges that Blinds by Peter Meyer faced when looking for a solution to shading this large conservatory area. The area was very large at 26.6 square metres with a slanted roof and normally Blinds by Peter Meyer would select an extrenal shading sollution for such a large space. However, the glass construction did not allow for them to fix the brackets externally. After workshopping alternate solutions, Blinds by Peter Meyer and the architectural firm responsible for the design of the Tennyson House - Studio JLA executed a solution that put the external blind Weinor Sontezza II Undermount Conservatory Awning to the underside of the glass within the interior. To combat the sheer expanse to be covered, Blinds by Peter Meyer used 2 Sontezza systems that were both 3040mm wide with a 4375mm projection.
