Polyurethane from Allplastics Engineering

Polyurethane (PU)

Polyurethane (PU) or Urethane is a thermoset elastomer available in a wide range of shore hardness's from eraser soft to cricket ball hard. The hardness is a consequence of the molecular structure of Polyurethane, not by the addition of fillers. Polyurethane has excellent resistance to abrasion, oils, various chemicals, solvents, and oxidation: while maintaining high tensile strength and resilience. Polyurethane is cast (poured) into shapes and Allplastics offers a machining service on this unique elastomer which combines the elasticity of rubber with the advantages of plastics.
