Manhole Covers for Streetscape Upgrades from EJ

CHINATOWN MALL UPGRADE

Brisbane's Chinatown Mall received a major overhaul during 2010.

Energex and landscape architects, Urbis, worked in consultation with EJ Australia to provide new manhole covers to this streetscape upgrade.

Specific products included:

Energex approved 2-part covers of Class D loadings for delivery and emergency vehicle access to the mall.
Stainless steel edged covers to blend into the paved areas.
Stainless steel edged multipart covers over transformer pits.
Stainless steel drainage grates.

John Gilbert, EJ's National Sales Manager, worked closely with the design teams to provide solutions that were practical and cost effective.

"This project required a lot of decorative edged covers and they needed to be delivered on-time; naturally EJ was able to look after this very easily." John said.

Stainless steel edged covers are built in Brisbane and EJ has supplied these to many major projects such as Southbank Parklands Brisbane and George Street Sydney.
