The New 1200mm2 Heavy Duty Cover from EJ

One of the latest innovations from EJ is set to revolutionise the use of multi-part covers in the Asia-Pacific region. Made in the US, this is essentially a very large 2 part hatch, 1200mm x 1200mm with a powerful gas ram on each cover that makes opening and closing a very simple and ergonomically safe action.

This new dual part cover is rated heavy duty and has been tested in an assembly using two covers in the one frame. In the independent load testing, the load was placed on the join between the covers. Accordingly, this assembly held 400kN on a 229mm x 229mm area. This is a more rigorous test than the AS3996 Class D requirements of 210kN on a 240mm x 240mm area.

The new dual heavy duty assembly could be your alternative to using 4 part multi-parts. It's easier to install without the need for removable beams or beam boxes. And the gas lifting rams make it quicker to gain access. It also features multi-tool pick bar, handling holes and a safety bar.
