Allplastics Architectural division is proud to be associated with the iconic Adelaide Entertainment Centre renovation project which continues to offer thousands of patrons and visitors with exceptional architecture, acoustics, and amazing lighting features. The AEC is an indoor arena located in the suburb Hindmarsh of South Australia's capital. It is used for sporting and entertainment events. It is the principal venue for concerts, events, and attractions for audiences between 1,000 and 11,300. Netball team Adelaide Thunderbirds and Basketball team Adelaide 36ers use the centre for their home games.

Xenian Lighting was engaged in the installation of the advanced "orb" LED Phillips kolor Kinetics Lighting system delivering a programmable selection of breathtaking colour, patterns, and animated light combination of the AEC. Part of the project required solid red 6mmT Perspex® with a written 10 year warranty for UV exposure.

Allplastics provided the red Perspex sheet which had to be custom made due to the thickness and quality required. The Iconic star at the entrance of the venue and all ticketing booths feature the solid red Perspex® which blends beautifully into the theme of the AEC.

We are pleased that the red Perspex® has withstood the elements and the harsh Australian sun over the last 10 years. We took some photos at a recent trip to Adelaide which we have attached to this to this article.
