Oran Park Town is a master-planned community that delivers sustainable living. The Town demonstrates a new approach to providing urban centres that meet the housing needs and the education, employment, health and recreational needs of new greenfield communities.

January 2024 construction of the Leisure Centre and the expansion of the Podium Shopping Centre were completed. The new town centre included an Olympic-sized swimming pool, gym, café and communal areas. Unison waterproof seal with rubber crumb topper was installed.

Unison Joints' DzFt/AqP carpark system is an alternative to mechanical cover plates. The waterproof seal is simply installed into the expansion joint gap. The DzFT rubber crumb topping is easily trowelled onto the Aquo-P seal. It protects the seal and is flush mounted - not trip hazards. Unison designed and developed our DzFT/AqP systems 15 years ago. The first installation was within the Brisbane Airport Carpark which is still functionally effective. The rubber crumb topping has many benefits:

An extra 16,700 m2 retail space transformed the Oran Park Podium Shopping Centre and introduced Coles & Woolworths supermarkets and another 65 shops, a childcare centre and over 1000 undercover car parking spaces. There is also a new vibrant outdoor dining area.

Unison supplied the floor & car park mechanical expansion joint cover plates, water-tight seals and fire-rated strips. Our high-movement expansion joint fire-rated seals are designed and manufactured for gaps 20mm to 150mm. The system is tested and certified to AS 1530.4 and BS 476.
