Shade Umbrella Stand Seating from Instant Shade Umbrellas

Instant Shade Umbrellas are proud to be suppliers of umbrellas to the Australian Open tennis tournament.

Over the years both Tennis Australia and Melbourne & Olympic Parks Trust have purchased many different styles of umbrellas for various shade needs at the tournament.

This has included:

- Cafe Series market umbrellas for shade in various open areas
- Custom designed & built wall mounted umbrellas that are used to shade crowd controllers at the entrances to Margaret Court Arena
- Creation of a custom fabric colour to match the Australian Open corporate colour (Process Blue)
- Large branded umbrellas featuring the Australian Open logo

For this year's tournament Instant Shade Umbrellas were proud to supply our new Nova HD heavy duty telescopic commercial umbrellas. These large 5m Octagonal umbrellas were used throughout Melbourne Park to provide cool shade areas to patrons.

A challenge of the project was securing the umbrellas without doing permanent installations. Normally the Nova HD umbrellas require installation to a concrete footing or existing concrete surface, but in this case this was not possible. Our engineers developed a solution that not only safely secured the umbrellas but also provided extra seating for patrons! Custom built steel frame and timber clad "boxes" hide the weight required to ballast the umbrella while providing a neat and convenient seat.

Also featuring at this year's tournament were our new heavy duty Eclipse cantilever umbrellas. They were used at a special promotional area covering a "walk on water" activity / game and also featured logo branding.
