Gladstone's APLNG Plant Safely Covered by BRIO™

Pre-planning and development of the massive Australia Pacific LNG Project began in 2008 and is now poised for its first LNG export shipment. Getting the project up and running has been a real labour of love between the three joint-venture partners Origin (37.5%), ConocoPhillips (37.5%) and Sinopec (25%).

While the pipeline construction was taking place, the LNG facility construction team was also working around the clock to build the facility. The facility features two 4.5 million tonnes per annum gas production trains and supporting infrastructure.

Embedded into this infrastructure is another world performer - EJ - who, for the past three years, has supplied their innovative and very popular BRIO™ hinged covers for the project. Additionally, BRIO™ covers have been supplied with APLNG badging, whole and complete in their precast surrounds.

BRIO™ by EJ is completely unique in that it provides easy lifting mechanisms to improve operating safety and quicker access. Once open, it locks into place and remains safely out of the way. Or if you need wider access, the cover can be removed. For added security, a locking system can be employed to prevent unauthorised access. A cushion insert has been designed to keep the cover absolutely stable, vibration free and quiet.
