Electric Scissor Stairs from Gorter Hatches Case study - Electric Scissor Stair Sydney A Gorter electric scissor stair and roof hatch were used in a high end residential home in Sydney. These functional access products allowed the owner to gain access to their roof terrace. The white underside of the scissor stairs matched the ceiling and the hidden stair box concealed the ladder in the ceiling of the hallway. The Gorter access system allowed extra space to be created on the roof, while not blocking the passage with a fixed ladder.
