Vincent Buda supplies low-friction metal slip joints in multiple sizes.

Slip Joint

Slip joint is a popular low friction barrier between brickwork, masonry blockwork or concrete structures. It consists of 2 pieces of thin galvanised sheet metal taped together with grease in between to allow for movement in the brickwork over time.

Standard sizes

Sold in standard lengths of 3 metres long, it is available in 4 different widths. We have 110mm wide, 150mm wide, 230mm wide and 270mm wide (with V for the Cavity)

Low Friction Slip Joints from Vincent Buda.

Supplied in 3 metre lengths, the flat lengths of slip joints can be rolled up for ease of transportation, however the 270mm cavity slip joint lengths must be transported flat as they have a V groove already pressed in them.

Installation

Slip joints can be overlapped slightly as they are installed. When installing the cavity 270 (Vee), the V sits facing upwards in the cavity to prevent any moisture from travelling across the cavity.
