CSIRO Building Products and Systems Appraisals sum up their assessment of Flotex Carpet Tiles purpose in their Technical Assessment number 218 as.

"Floor covering for heavy wear applications and for areas which require stain resistance, fire resistance properties, anti-static properties and microbe resistance, including areas which are potentially wet (except commercial bathrooms, kitchens and food preparation areas) when conditions listed in CSIRO Appraisals Technical assessment 218 are fulfilled."
