Reducing Commercial Energy Costs from Intero Energy Systems![]() Solar Power can either be used in conjunction with grid power to reduce costs or as an alternative or replacement to the mains connection. For premises already connected to the grid, the installation of a solar system reduces the power needed from the grid, reducing the energy cost, whilst still drawing grid power for peak or excess requirements. As solar works during daylight hours, much of its production occurs during normal working hours (including peak times) so that maximum cost reductions can be achieved. On weekends and holidays, solar can be configured to run standby plant, 24 hour computer and security equipment or lighting further minimising power draw from the grid. For locations that are not located to the grid, solar can power plant and equipment during the day with excess power stored in batteries. The technology for these off-grid solutions has now progressed to the point where this is a cost effective solution for remote location businesses, where grid connection is either not possible or prohibitively expensive. Intero designs the appropriate solution to meet the business requirements for systems large and small.
