Aged Timber Look Floorboard from Oakleaf Timber Flooring

Oakleaf Aged look timber floorboard, is created using heat-treatment technology. The ageing treatment process only uses steam and heat, no chemicals or agents are applied to the timber during the process.

Tests have shown no harmful emissions are apparent when working with the timber. Aged timber is an environmentally friendly product and any left over pieces of aged timber can be burnt or disposed of into the normal waste system.

Due to its attractive appearance, unique colour variations homogenous through the cross section, stability and lack of resins, Oakleaf aged timber is well suited resins, Oakleaf aged timber is well suited for indoor use-in saunas, interior panels, furniture and flooring.

Moisture Reduction
Specifying timber that has been produced using heat treatment technology ensures deformations like warping, swelling and shrinkage are minimised. Ageing treatment reduces the timber equilibrium moisture by as much as 50%.

Coating
The lack of resins increases coating adhesion. However, it is very important to have a clean surface before coating and the coating producer's instructions for application guidelines must be carefully followed.
