Solis Products has yet again showcased their flexibility in the design, manufacture and instalment of internal and external motorised roller blinds and folding arm awnings, in a residential property in Clontarf NSW.
At the end of a long, hard day, people look forward to relishing the comfort of their homes. There is a sense of ease and tranquility that comes full circle to people the moment they step foot inside their front door. Solis Products takes this cue in meeting form and function, for the design of their motorised roller blinds and folding arm awnings, which were used in the Clontarf residential application.
Clontarf is a quiet harbourside suburb situated 13 kilometres northeast of Sydney. It is the site of Grotto Point Lighthouse, Castle Rock Beach, Clontarf Beach and Sandy Bay.
The Clontarf house is plagued with shading problems, since it falls directly under the western sun. Solis Products was enlisted to design, manufacture and install ten internal motorised roller blinds; four external motorised roller blinds, with custom made head-boxes and wire guides; and two full cassette folding arm awnings, with wind sensors and six-wave fold sheer curtains for added privacy.
Solis Products utilised the Sunscreen TechWeave Metalised fabrics for the external and internal motorised roller blinds and folding arm awnings application. The high-tech Sunscreen fabric enhances solar protection on the external awnings and roller blinds. It controls the light and provides protection against UV, heat and glare, without compromising the harbour view.
Why Use Motorised Roller Blinds and Folding Arm Awnings for Residential Projects?
Roller blinds regulate the transfer of heat and light to achieve the desired ambience for both indoor and outdoor spaces. The integrated window furnishings come in handy when facing shading problems, such as when the afternoon sun glares into the eyes while the user is reading a book on their couch. With traditional window furnishings, the user has to get up from their seat and walk towards the window for manual operation, which can become a hassle. Meanwhile, motorised window furnishings allow the user to only press a controller to turn them on, defeating the need to activate them on location.
Motorised products by Solis Products aim to make operation easy with just a touch of a button, much to the user's convenience. From anywhere in the room, the user can operate the window furnishings via motorisation technology, including handheld remote controls, wall switches, building management systems, or even a mobile application.
Solis Products settles for only the finest quality in the components of their motorised products. The tubular motors and remote wall switches of the system are courtesy of Radio Technology Somfy® (RTS) by Somfy, globally recognised motorisation experts for over 40 years. RTS tubular motors consist of receivers covertly built into the motor to cut back on wiring requirements. On the other hand, the RTS remote wall switch is battery operated to control one or multiples blinds from a single centralised location.
Solis Products also allows users to program the controls of the window furnishings in advance over a day, or even a week. This is made possible with the battery operated RTS remote wall mounted timer or an app on a smart device, which offers various time and calibration settings to operate the windows furnishings based on habits like getting up at the same time every day.
