Karndean Designflooring at designEX 2013 from Karndean Designflooring

designEX is a platform to share inspiration and innovation and this year Karndean Designflooring exhibited at the popular expo in Melbourne! Through their involvement at the event Karndean illustrated the design possibilities of Flotex, LooseLay and Designflooring.

Showcasing the Flotex Sottsass collection in a uniquely creative way, the Karndean stand was framed by an oversized print of Ettore Sottsass on the Flotex product. Ettore Sottsass was the head of Italian design studio, Sottsass Associati, who along with his partner and head of studio, Christopher Redfern, created the four contemporary designs that comprise the high-definition Flotex collection.

Karndean also provided the flooring, LooseLay Merbau, for the Ketel One Bar directly opposite its stand, with a 'pull-up' tab that allowed visitors to see how LooseLay can be used without adhesive.

designEX took place at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre from Thursday 30th May to Saturday 1st June.
