EJ designs composite access covers with the core objective to address the issues faced in using service station access covers over fuel pits. Through innovation and industry expertise, the product development team of EJ are proud to present SERVO™ - a world-class range of composite manhole covers for optimum safety and performance.
One of the most crucial building requirements for service stations are high-performance access covers. These solutions must be built to facilitate extreme temperatures on account of the underground fuel pits for petrol and diesel. In addition, trafficability is of top priority to promote the general security of all kinds of vehicles, from motorbikes to 10-wheeler trucks, as well as pedestrians.
SERVO™ by EJ specialises for application in service stations on the strength of a premium quality composite material. The composite access covers effectively lower the risk of untoward spark-activated fire with their non-conductive structural makeup that blocks transfer of static electricity. The state-of-the-art build also exhibits no chemical reactions with fuel spills, whether petrol or diesel.

EJ guarantees that SERVO™ will deliver reliable, long-term service. The composite access covers are rated for water resistance to prevent structural deterioration due to exposure to weather elements over time. SERVO™ also offers high strength and resilience against hard wear, thereby accommodating heavy traffic loads of up to Class D (210 kN). Load ratings are tested by third-party engineers, in compliance with the Australian Standard 3996, defining the requirements for access covers and grates to be used in vehicular and pedestrian areas.
SERVO™ adds an extra layer of security with a sophisticated locking device. EJ allows clients to unlock the composite access covers with a supplied key. The key is fabricated from a light composite material to make opening SERVO™ easier, simpler and safer. As with all EJ access solutions, SERVO™ provides a smooth, trafficable surface for vehicles and pedestrians, while regulating entry to underground utilities to prevent cases of theft and invasion.

EJ has supplied SERVO™ for service stations across the globe. In Australia, the composite access covers have been installed in new Puma and 7-Eleven service stations in Western Australia, all the way to the Sunshine Coast in Queensland.
SERVO™ is made in the EJ composites factory in Michigan, USA. From there, EJ distributes stocks of the access solutions to local facilities in Brisbane to service Queensland; Melbourne to service Victoria; Sydney to service New South Wales; and Perth to service Western Australia. Thus, EJ extends its network throughout Australia for its ever-growing clientele.
