Nine's stars to give 'Top Design' tips at the August Home Show

Builders and renovators attending the Herald Sun Home Show this August are in for a treat. Contestants from Nine Network's The Block and Top Design will present from the main stage to give expert advice and design tips exclusively to this year's Show visitors.

The 2011 Herald Sun Home Show has announced a new partnership with the Nine Network, which this year has seen the return of popular reality renovation program, The Block and is set to premiere a new reality design and renovation program, Top Design this month.

Top Design, hosted by Jamie Durie, is tipped to become a massive new series, searching the country to find people from all walks of life who are passionate about design and renovation.

The Block - the highest rating Australian television series of all-time - returned to our television screens this year, bigger, harder and more competitive than ever, seeing eight couples, cut to four to renovate not just an apartment but an entire house - set right here in Melbourne.

• Channel Nine Building and Renovation Stage - Visitors will have an all-access pass to the Channel Nine Building and Renovation Stage where they can listen and learn top renovation, building and design tips from the 2011 contestants of The Block and Top Design.

• Demonstrations and Competitions - Fresh from their experiences on the show, The Block and Top Design contestants will be giving live demonstrations for the audience to participate in and learn from. Rivalries will ignite once again, as competitions between the stars will be held at the Channel Nine Building and Renovation Stage throughout the Show.
