Safety Activation Sensor for High Speed Doors from DMF International The fast action roll door is a door used for busy openings, and depending on the model, can operate at up to 4m/s opening speed. Therefore, theses doors require efficient safety sensors to maximise protection of not only the personnel, but the door as well. Two regions are available being a 'safety region' detecting the presence of any person or object, and an 'activation region', which can distinguish approaching traffic intending to pass through the opening. The sensor thus also determines cross moving traffic, eliminating unnecessary opening cycles of the door. These zones can extend out to a maximum 9m from the opening, and each zone can be programmed to set a shape and size to suit the purpose.
