NDIS Software for SIL Provider Compliance

Supported Independent Living (SIL) providers are entering a new regulatory environment following the release of the updated SIL Practice Standards and mandatory registration rules. From 1 July 2026, SIL providers and NDIS digital platform providers must be registered with the NDIS Commission, with existing unregistered providers given a three-month transition period to submit their applications. The new framework also expands the definition of SIL and introduces four core practice standards covering supported decision-making, safeguarding, practice governance, and clear tenancy and support agreements.

In addition, digital platform providers will face worker screening obligations from 1 January 2027, including verification of worker screening clearances, qualifications, and banning orders, alongside new reporting responsibilities. Updated notification requirements and tighter oversight of provider ownership changes further reinforce the sector's growing compliance expectations.

As providers prepare for these reforms, having integrated systems to manage documentation, workforce records, participant information and compliance activities can simplify implementation. CareVision's NDIS platform helps providers centralise operational processes, maintain accurate records, and support readiness for evolving regulatory requirements while continuing to deliver quality participant outcomes.
