New Load Test Rig - 100 Tonne Tests to AS3996-2019

The EJ testing facility in Brisbane is now set-up with a new Load Test Rig for the testing of manhole covers & grates to the new Australian Standard AS3996-2019. The new Load Test Rig is a serious upgrade, now with a force of 100 tonnes on a 1500 x 1500mm base, allowing for the testing of larger products up to Class G (900kN) for airports and sea ports.

Computer controlled testing allows for accurate measurement of deflections under load and permanent set. The computer automatically tests the 5 cycles of Serviceability Design Load and then continues the testing onto Ultimate Limit State Design Load.

Computer generated reports allow Government authorities, designers, contractors, and asset owners to confidently rely on the global strength of EJ.
