The floor sensors in all Comfort Heat thermostats ensure that your floor does not overheat and is maintained at your desired temperature. The floor sensor is located on the floor between the heating cables/pipes to measure the normal floor temperature and is ensured not to pass over or under the heating cables.

These floor sensors are contained within a sensor tube, a 12mm plastic tube with capped end, that is installed in-slab, in-screed or thin mats. This placement allows the sensors to be removed without lifting your floor tiles. It is important to note that under-timber and under-carpet systems have no need for a sensor tube.
