Hong Kong International Hardware & Home Improvement Fair - 27 - 30 October

Going back - Hong Kong International Hardware & Home Improvement Fair 2005...

  • A total of 156 exhibitors from 7 countries and regions, with group pavilion from Taiwan and the Chinese mainland.
  • Attracted over 14,000 visitors from 110 countries and regions.

Celebrating the ninth anniversary, the Hong Kong International Hardware & Home Improvement Fair was held concurrently with the Hong Kong International Lighting Fair at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre from 26 - 29 October 2005.

The fair came at a period of strong growth in the hardware business, with the global enthusiasm for home renovation raising demand for new and exciting hardware and home improvement items. In the first eight months of 2005, Hong Kong's global exports of building materials (including hardware) rose by a total of 12% over the same period in the preceding year to US$6,784 million.

Special Zones Added Interest to Hardware Fair:
Décor Zone features top design items.
This section is a premium area of quality interior decoration products, and is designed to appeal to architects, interior designers, surveyors and renovation companies. This year' s zone showcased quality products and services, with each exhibitor represented a different facet of the home improvement industry.

Outdoor and Gardening World shifts focus to exteriors.
Home improvement extends to the outside of a property as well as the inside. Returning after its introduction last year, Outdoor and Gardening World featured 11 exhibitors with all kinds of gardening items and outdoor furniture such as barbeque sets and accessories, flower pots and boxes, garden decoration, outdoor fittings and outdoor ceramics.

Sanitary World puts style into the bathroom.
First introduced at last year' s fair, Sanitary World reflected the growing importance consumers placed on design of their bathroom and sanitary items. The 26 exhibitors in this zone showcased bathroom fittings and sanitary ware including bathtubs, basins, and sinks, showerheads, bibcocks and toilet seats.

Looking Ahead
Following last year's success, this year's Hong Kong International Hardware & Home Improvement Fair will be held on 27 - 30 October 2006 at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre. Be sure not to miss it!
