The New Zealand Academy of Sports is sporting a new look with Rephouse's Sports Flooring System

The esteemed New Zealand Academy of Sports at their QEII Christchurch facility embraces the latest technology in sustainable sports flooring systems,so now its rugby field isn't the only green. Established in 1999, the academy is headquartered in the central north island in New Zealand's tourism Mecca Rotorua.

To finalise this project, 410m2 of Decoflex™ Universal Indoors Sports Flooring was selected as the academy's high performance sports floor system with another 667m2 of Decoflex™ D14 Athletic Track Flooring installed for the running strip and the free heavy weight training area. In addition to these sections, the academy's sauna, medical facility and athlete testing area were covered with 168m2 Neoflex™ 600 series. The New Zealand Sports Academy is sporting environmentally responsible bright coloured flooring, which debuted on the sporting scene in month09. This prestigious institution now features a proud sporting history and is high-performing in two ways: sustainability and sports excellence.

Rephouse's sports flooring brings together environmental advantages, arresting colour choice and advanced technical properties to satisfy the flooring challenges presented by sporting facilities. In a sports venue where foot traffic is high, rubber flooring does not wear easily as it is resistant to traffic patterns extending the lifespan of the flooring. In addition, rubber flooring is easy to clean up and with less cleaning agents utilised, sporting facilities have better indoor air quality since less Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) are emitted.
