Explosion Mitigation Manhole Solution

Electrical or gas explosions inside an underground vault can happen without warning. In these situations, a standard, unrestrained manhole cover can become a dangerous projectile. This unit is designed to relieve built up pressure while restraining the cover during a moderate explosive event and then return to the seated position.

To open the cover, remove the safety bolt and the anchor lug doubles as a handle. Optional frame with angled anchor rods available.
