Fire Rated Stainless Steel Doors from TPS

Technical Protections Systems (TPS) incorporated their Forster Fuego light framing system with 18mm Pilkington Pyrostop® glass to create a fire-rated stainless-steel door for a law firm in Sydney. The project required the installation of fire-resistant doors to promote the use of the internal stairs between two levels of the building and instead of just the elevators. The result was a stylish yet fire safe door that effectively minimised the use of the lifts, reducing the waiting time associated with them, and resulted in increased employee efficiency.

The combination of the Forster insulated steel frame and the Pilkington Pyrostop® fire-rated glass produces a door with a -/60/30 fire resistance level. It also provides excellent compatibility with the high-traffic environment plus burglar resistance with high-performance hardware (locks, handles, hinges, and door seals).
