Gucci Flagship Store Entrance Floor featuring Hand Painted Parquet Flooring from Di Emme

Di Emme Creative Solutions is proud to have been part of redesigning the Gucci flagship store in Westfield Sydney in 2020. Di Emme supplied the hand-painted parquetry flooring featured in the main entrance and the VIP and women's areas for this project.

For the painted parquetry, three designs were supplied by Gucci. Di Emme Creative Solutions worked directly with Gucci headquarters to confirm the patterns, orientation, and repeat sizing to complete the layout drawings. With a tolerance of 3mm, the pattern's prescribed dimensions needed to fit perfectly within the floor areas.

Di Emme Creative Solutions also coordinated the painting around other redesign works within the flagship store which included :

Laying the stencils
Hand painting
Create a patina by lightly sanding the surfaces
Removing the stencils
Applying the top coating
Protecting the flooring until the redesign was completed.
