As a part of the Melbourne metropolitan rail network facility upgrade, Britex - specialists in vandal resistant commercial bathroom products - supplied numerous stainless steel bathroom fixtures to the refurbishment of the Melbourne Central Station toilet block. Being a key station in the City Loop network, facility operators and maintenance contractors requested products that were not only aesthetically pleasing, but also highly vandal resistant and easy to maintain.

A key factor in selecting Britex stainless steel toilet pans was their, unique, blockage resistant trap - designed in a way that also provides highly efficient flushing (4.5/3 litre WELS rating). Britex also supplied an 'L' shaped stainless steel SaniStep hinge grate urinal for the project that was paired with a 5-Star WELS rated Smart SaniFlush Sensor System, ensuring the new washroom would be far more water efficient and environmentally friendly than before.

To complete the fit out, Britex stainless steel security mirrors were supplied and stylish Britex Curveline Multi Vanity Basins were custom fabricated to 5 and 6 bowl configurations to ensure the washroom was highly vandal resistant and to provide maximum utilisation of space in the facility.
