The builders of this local monument to world famous rock band the Bee Gees wanted to avoid distractions of any kind, especially manhole covers. To achieve this clean look, they specified and installed brass-edged decorative covers by EJ.

EJ customises decorative edged covers in either brass or stainless steel in any required height to accommodate any infill, anything from carpet to tiles, marble, bitumen, coloured concrete and pavers.

The covers are prepared in the Brisbane factory and shipped to the location they are specified for. Installation and finishing is easy and the resulting effect is first class.

In this case, and quite ironically, the requirement was for a speckled cement finish, a tribute to the band that penned and performed the memorable Spicks & Specks song.

Other more complex decorative covers have been installed in Brisbane's Chinatown Mall. They had to feature a combination of infill to reflect the adjoining paving plus accommodate DUROLAST® detectable warning plates. The result was an almost invisible finish, which is just how it should be.
