ISO9001 Certification Continues - A 24 Year EJ Tradition

24 years ago, HaveStock became the first Australian manhole cover company to achieve the ISO9001 certification and they have continued to retain this standard through all these years.

This year is no different. Last month, we once again passed our annual audit which delivers confidence for our clients when they specify and invest in EJ products.

Our compliance with ISO9001 was originally HaveStock's founder Tim Bottomley's initiative and has been the responsibility of EJ's Trevor Ross since 1998.

The scope of this certification is noted as the procurement, assembly, final inspection, test and supply of cast iron and mild steel access covers, grates and frames for civil, commercial and industrial applications.

Trevor Ross explains "We conduct incoming imported product inspections and retain test records forwarded to us by the foundries." So even when product is manufactured offshore, EJ has checks and balances that ensure product is to the highest standard and meets ISO9001 certification parameters.

Here in Australia, product is checked at various stages of the manufacturing process and also in a final pre-despatch quality check. "Nothing leaves our plant without a QA Checked sticker. We also add a 'Thank You' sticker to each pallet as it leaves the factory," Trevor notes.
